Italy, Piedmont, Alba, Barbera d’Alba
100% Barbera
Comm. G.B. Burlotto has emerged as one of Piedmont’s most respected traditional estates, guided today by Fabio Alessandria, the great great grandson of the founder. Based in Verduno, the family has produced wine since the mid nineteenth century and remains known for its classical approach, including long macerations and aging that emphasize structure and transparency. Fabio Alessandria is widely regarded as a thoughtful steward of the estate, preserving historic methods while refining precision in the cellar.
The Barbera d’Alba 2022 is deep, layered, and expressive, with dark cherry and spice at the forefront. The core shows earthy tones and and clean finish with a fine balance of acidity and tannin. A well made wine from a well known and respected family. Drink over the next five to six years.
