Italy, Abruzzi, Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo
Montepulciano
Certified Organic
Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo is an Italian DOC appellation dedicated to a distinctive rosé style of wine made from the Montepulciano grape. The name cerasuolo, meaning “cherry red,” refers to the vivid hue the wine develops through even a short period of skin contact with the deeply pigmented Montepulciano skins.
Unlike many paler rosé wines, Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo shows a striking intensity of color, often leaning toward a ruby or garnet shade, while still maintaining the freshness and drinkability that define the style. On the palate, this wine balances bright red fruit with gentle tannins and good acidity, offering more structure than a typical rosé.
This unique combination of depth, fruit, and freshness has made Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo a wonderful expression of central Italy, versatile and well suited to a wide range of dishes.
