This wine is simply delicious and perfect for enjoying this fall! With some bottle age, the Mencía really shines, bringing out its depth and character. It pours a bright red hue, with aromas of crisp apple and a subtle hint of peach, all layered over a refreshing, mineral backdrop.

Envínate “Lousas” Viñas de Aldea 2018

This wine presented a rich ruby hue, with a nose of red currant and black cherry nuanced by a hint of pepper. Tastes of cherry and a trace of cola emerge, carried in a medium body that gradually reveals its tannins. It was a gorgeous bottle. I’m saving my last bottle for 2025 or 2026.
