La Spinetta, a renowned Italian winery, owns the Casanova della Spinetta estate. The vines are about 15 years old and are planted in a location with southern exposure at 180 meters (590 feet) above sea level. The soil is sandy and rich in oceanic sediments.
The wine shows high aromatic intensity on the nose with notes of white flowers, jasmine, and a touch of herbs. On the palate it leans more herbal, with strong intensity and a medium plus finish. It is a perfect summer wine: light and aromatic, round and crowd pleasing, though not a wine that lingers in memory once the bottle is gone. Think of it as an easy summer choice, with soft stone fruit character, ideal when nothing too serious is called for.
