Established in 1972 by Aldo Vajra, the estate is named after his father, Giuseppe Domenico Vajra. The winery is renowned for its commitment to organic farming practices, having been one of the first in the Barolo region to adopt such methods in 1971. Today, the winery is managed by Aldo and Milena Vajra, along with their children Giuseppe, Francesca, and Isidoro, who continue the family’s dedication to producing wines that reflect the purity and elegance of their terroir.
The 2024 Rosabella Rosato is a vibrant expression of Piedmont’s indigenous grape varieties, crafted from a blend of Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto. This rosé wine showcases a bright peach-pink hue and offers a delicate bouquet of orange blossoms, blood orange, peach, fresh strawberries, rose petals, and a hint of oriental spices. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced, with flavors echoing the nose, complemented by notes of crunchy apple and white pepper. The wine’s refreshing character and zesty finish make it an ideal choice for warm-weather sipping.
