On Saturday, I attended a small tasting event at a newly opened wine shop, however, it resembled more of a general store/gift shop which sold wine. During the tasting, I was introduced to a delightful and reasonably priced wine, the Guy Allion Les Mazelles Sauvignon 2021, a 100% Sauvignon Blanc wine from the Touraine region in the Loire Valley. The wine has a pale straw color with a fragrant, grassy, and citrusy aroma, followed by a palate of crisp juicy pear and a subtle hint of lime. It has a low acidity and a smooth finish, making it an excellent choice for the upcoming warmer months as we New Englanders eagerly await spring and summer. This refreshing and clean wine has a relatively low alcohol content of 12.5%. $16. and a perfect addition to your stock for the season.

As usual Bobby is spot on in his evaluation. This is a really nice wine and will be perfect for summer get-togethers. It is not as acidic as New Zealand Sav Blancs but just as refreshing. I am going back for more.
