Gerações da Talha Natalha Branco 2023

Portugal, Alentejo
A blend of Antão Vaz, Roupeiro, Perrum, Diagalves

Authentic, heartfelt and refined wine from clay pots. This small project, rich in history and tradition, revives the art and culture of winemaking of the Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans. It is in Vila de Frades, in the heart of Vigueira, that the couple Teresa and João keep the flame of this thousand-year-old tradition alive. The exciting winery, over 200 years old, is the stage for the production of unique wines, which express an ancient culture in its entirety, without masks or interventions.

In the glass, this wine presents a golden yellow hue, a result of extended skin contact during fermentation. The nose offers vibrant aromas of fresh tropical fruits, complemented by subtle earthy and mineral undertones. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a refreshing acidity, showcasing flavors of ripe yellow apple and peach. The amphora aging contributes to a distinctive clay-infused finish, adding complexity and a touch of salinity. The wine’s texture is both creamy and persistent, making it a compelling choice for those seeking authenticity and tradition in their wine experience.
