We enjoyed this exquisite this Saumur rosé while watching Midori perform Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 1, followed by a breathtaking solo encore of Bach. Its medium salmon color mirrored the vibrant performance, with a youthful nose of ripe strawberry, raspberry, peach, rose petals, thyme, and dried herbs. The palate echoed these notes, with a long, dry finish and high acidity, perfectly balancing the rich flavors. Cabernet Franc rosés from this region are known for their elegance, and this one was a perfect match for an evening of timeless performance.
