Christophe Mignon Brut Nature ADN de Meunier

This wine was presented at recent champagne tasting attended by myself and sons. We all loved the freshness and brightness. This was Andrews pick.

A 50/50 blend of two recent vintages, aged to perfection for 24 months in the bottle and finished without dosage.

This cuvée, crafted from 100% Pinot Meunier, is a true standout. It presents an airy and gracious profile with super-expressive characteristics. Notes of crushed flowers, pear, dried herbs, mint, and lemon peel abound, creating a sophisticated and aromatic experience. With tons of energy, bright acids, and floral accents enhancing the finish, this wine from parcels in Festigny and Le Breuil is truly remarkable.

A little background on Pinot Meunier: Blended with other grapes, it contributes to palate softening, but Pinot Meunier also possesses its own distinct flavors. Similar to Pinot Noir, it features familiar notes but with higher acidity, more citrus character, and a lighter, less earthy profile. Additionally, it may exhibit subtle cigar-smoky flavors. Mignon makes this Pinot Meunier an elegant experience!
