Bedrock Sauvignon Blanc Staves of Waidhofen 2020

In 2005, Morgan Twain-Peterson MW and his father, Joel, acquired 152 acres from the Domenicis and renamed the vineyard as Bedrock. Joel Peterson, a walking encyclopedia of wine knowledge, stands as one of the pivotal figures in American wine history, tracing his illustrious career back to his celebrated days at Ravenswood. It’s safe to say that when it comes to Sonoma’s vineyards, few possess as intimate a connection as he does. And the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Morgan Twain-Peterson, a dedicated student of history, is also one of the most gifted winemakers of his generation. Both father and son exude a contagious blend of boyish enthusiasm and boundless energy.

Exotic aromas swirl around, perfectly balanced with creamy fruit, zesty citrus, hints of mint, and a delicate bouquet of flowers that just won’t quit. A subtle touch of oaky wood from barrel fermentation adds to the enchantment. Refreshing and satisfying. Unfortunately only 5 barrels of this wine were produced into existence. Get on their mailing list to order. This is a wine which is truly extraordinary! $35.
