Ribeiro, Galicia, SP
Treixadura, Godello, Albariño.
From the renowned wine maker Luis Rodriguez in the Ribeiro region, Galicia, Spain, this exquisite blend of Treixadura, Godello, and Albariño grapes showcases the elegance and complexity of mature white wines. Its light yellow hue sets the stage for a wine that has developed beautifully over time. On the nose, mineral-rich aromas of sea spray, wet gravel, and a hint of lemon are remenicent of the rugged beauty of its coastal origins.
In the glass it offers a refined, medium-bodied mouthfeel with concentrated, racy character and an austere minerality. Bright acidity complements flavors of wet gravel and citrus, leading to a long, lingering finish. While this wine is already wonderfully developed, it holds the promise of further aging for those who appreciate the nuanced beauty of mature whites. Concentrated and vibrant, it’s a truly remarkable wine that will continue to evolve gracefully for years to come. Unfortunately for me, this was my last bottle and it was a standout expression of Galician terroir.
